Source and Summit of Our Faith
The Eucharist at St. Thomas Catholic Church
At St. Thomas Catholic Church, the Eucharist is not simply one devotion among many — it is the heartbeat of everything we do. We draw our identity from the teaching of the Second Vatican Council, which describes the Eucharist as "the source and summit of the Christian life." Every Mass celebrated here is an act of unity between heaven and earth, between our parish family and the whole Church throughout history.
This Eucharistic charism shapes how we worship, how we serve our neighbors, how we form disciples, and how we welcome the stranger. Whether you are a lifelong Catholic returning to the pews or someone encountering this tradition for the first time, you will find at St. Thomas a community gathered around the Real Presence of Christ — and transformed by it. We invite you to encounter that presence and let it change your life.

The Sacraments of the Church
The sacraments are efficacious signs of grace, instituted by Christ and entrusted to the Church, by which divine life is dispensed to us. At St. Thomas, we celebrate all seven sacraments and are here to guide you through each one.
Baptism
The gateway to the sacramental life. We welcome infants and adults into the family of God through Baptism. Parents wishing to have an infant baptized should contact the parish office at least six weeks in advance. Adults seeking Baptism are invited to inquire about our RCIA process.
Confirmation
The completion of Baptismal grace, Confirmation seals the recipient with the Gift of the Holy Spirit. Preparation for Confirmation is offered through our parish faith formation program. Please contact the faith formation office for enrollment.
First Communion
Receiving the Body and Blood of Christ for the first time is among the most profound moments in a Catholic's life. Children preparing for First Communion participate in a two-year formation program beginning in second grade.
Reconciliation
Experience the healing mercy of Christ. Confession is available Saturdays 3:30–4:30 PM and by appointment. We encourage all parishioners to receive this sacrament regularly as a foundation of spiritual growth.
Matrimony
Marriage in the Church is a covenant and a sacrament. Couples wishing to marry at St. Thomas should contact the parish office at least one year in advance to begin marriage preparation.
Anointing of the Sick
For those facing serious illness, surgery, or the approach of death, this sacrament offers the grace of healing and peace. Please contact the parish office to arrange a visit from one of our priests.

Adoration & Devotions
Beyond the Mass, St. Thomas nourishes the spiritual life of parishioners through Eucharistic Adoration and a rich tradition of Catholic devotional prayer.
Eucharistic Adoration
Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament is held every Thursday from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM in the Adoration Chapel. All are welcome to come and spend time in silent prayer before the Real Presence of Christ. No prior registration is required.
Holy Rosary
The Rosary is prayed communally before the 12:10 PM weekday Mass, Monday through Friday. All parishioners and guests are warmly invited to join.
Stations of the Cross
Celebrated every Friday during Lent at 6:30 PM, Stations of the Cross guide participants through the Passion of Our Lord. All are welcome.
Divine Mercy Chaplet
The Divine Mercy Chaplet is prayed every Friday at 3:00 PM in the main church. This devotion, beloved by St. John Paul II, unites us in intercession for the world.

Your Questions, Answered
Whether you are coming back to the Church after time away or stepping into a Catholic Mass for the very first time, we want you to feel at home. Here are answers to the questions we hear most often.
What should I expect at a Catholic Mass?
Mass at St. Thomas lasts approximately one hour and follows a consistent structure: the Liturgy of the Word (readings from Scripture and a homily) followed by the Liturgy of the Eucharist (the consecration and distribution of Communion). Worship aids or missalettes are available in the pews to help you follow along.
Do I need to be Catholic to attend Mass?
Absolutely not — everyone is welcome at Mass. You are invited to participate in the prayers, singing, and responses. If you are not Catholic or are not in a state of grace, we ask that you remain in your pew during Communion and instead make a quiet prayer of spiritual communion.
What should I wear to Mass?
We ask that dress be respectful and modest, reflecting the reverence of the sacred space. Business casual is a common standard, but please do not let concern about clothing prevent you from attending.
How do I receive Communion?
Holy Communion at a Catholic Mass is reserved for Catholics who are in a state of grace (free from mortal sin) and have observed the one-hour Eucharistic fast. Communion may be received on the tongue or in the hand while standing or kneeling. Please speak with one of our priests if you have questions about your eligibility.
I am a returning Catholic. How do I come back to the Church?
We are so glad you are considering returning. The Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession) is the normal path back to full participation in the sacraments. Confessions are heard Saturdays 3:30–4:30 PM, or by appointment. Our priests are here to welcome you without judgment.
How do I become Catholic?
Adults who wish to enter the Catholic Church do so through the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA), a period of formation and discernment that typically culminates at the Easter Vigil. Contact us to learn about our next RCIA session.
How can I get more involved at St. Thomas?
There are many ways to connect — from our active ministries (Knights of Columbus, St. Vincent de Paul, Catholic Daughters of the Americas) to faith formation, service opportunities, and parish events. Visit our Ministries page or contact the parish office to find the right fit for you.
Still have questions? We would love to hear from you.
